Did you know the Security Department at Twin River Casino in Lincoln, RI consists of armed retired and active law enforcement personnel who are certified by the State of Rhode Island and Federal Government and regulated by the Lottery Commission? For over 40 years, the Security Department has never had any incidents or accidental discharge of firearms due to the experience and training of the law enforcement personnel who have worked and still work at the Casino. Many experts have said that Twin River currently has the most trained and experienced security department in the business. Your safety is now in jeopardy because Twin River management wants to disarm its security officers. How can you be protected from serious harm or injury if the security department does not have the tools to protect you? Would you want your police department patrolling your city without guns? There are approximately 30,000 weekly guests at Twin River, spending millions of dollars on the property. The security department escorts millions of dollars daily throughout the facility. Management recommends the use of mace rather than a well- trained law enforcement officer with a weapon to protect the safety of its guests and employees. Are you aware that many types of weapons are confiscated daily from guests entering Twin River? Management will tell you that a special detail from Lincoln Police is on duty daily at the facility. One officer for approximately 500,000 square feet of space and approximately 7,000-10,000 guests. Is that the type of protection you want or ten to twelve trained and armed retired and active law enforcement officers with over twenty years experience on average. Twin River Security answered over 100,000 calls for service last year. Lincoln Police answered over 1,200 calls for service last year and the security is involved in all before the need for an arresting officer gets involved. If you have a choice of a trained and experienced law enforcement security officer armed with a weapon to protect you or that same officer with mace –what do you prefer?
