Data Strategy to Accelerate
Product Success
Startup and Growth companies that have a unique and compelling vision or idea still
need to find a strategic pathway towards building that into a final product. Designing
and building features is just part of the puzzle and fast iterations are only helpful if you
are gaining real and useful learning from those releases. Data strategy ensures that
each product feature released is backed by data to measure its impact and effective-
ness. Data often also surfaces latent market needs that can be leveraged into further
product value.
Sasha Laundy will share her knowledge on the right way to fold data into a long-term
strategy based in her work as the founding data scientist and engineer at Polynumeral,
a data science consultancy in New York City. Eli Bressert brings science to fashion as the
Head of Data Labs at Stitch Fix. He will be speaking on how Stitch Fix is quantifying art
through science to surface highly personalized recommendation services to their cus-
tomers. Matt Sullivan from Carbon Five, a boutique software and product consultancy,
will share his experience building better products using a smarter data strategy geared
toward frequent and iterative learning cycles. Examples from work with clients such
as Prosper, Samsung SSIC, Autodesk and more will be used. Celena Aponte from the
Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center will be moderating.
