"All of the sudden, we've got a senior, who's never been a starter for us, and a freshman, who wasn't really expected to make an impact, thrust into the setting role. We defi- nitely got better every week. We knew it was all going to be a work in progress, and it turned out pretty well." The Wolverines cruised to a 3-1 win over Santa Clara in the first round of the NCAA Tournament and then fell to No. 12 UCLA in the second round after being up two sets to none. Rosen is already looking ahead to next year and thinks the Wolverines can move up in the Big Ten. "We certainly have a lot coming back, and that's exciting for us," he said. "We've got some really good kids coming in. "You never really know what you lose until you lose it. But we know we are going to lose some great things from our seniors. "I feel like we're really progressing, and I'm excited about next year. Even though we finished ninth in the Big Ten, we were able to beat some of the top teams on the road. "We're confident about what we'll be able to do next season.
