Seattle is noted for rain, but it rained
for 24 days in a row at the golf
course for 14 total inches.
We set several goals to install more
quick couplers for summer hand
watering.
The turf team did a year in review
safety meeting and also cover the
what if's for the fi rst time. The what
if's were fi re and the Sammamish,
Wash., Fire Department came out
to see us. We talked about our
automated external defi brillators
and their use if someone needed
the use one. We also spoke about
earthquakes, volcanoes and what
the turf team should do when lighting
is in the area.
Well 2015 was an outstanding
year for me in my world of turf
management. I feel very fortunate
to work at such a great club with
fabulous team members and have
the chance to see so many golf
courses around the world within one
year.
