CELEBRATING A RACING HISTORY BFGOODRICH TIRES RECOGNIZES ITS RACING HERITAGE DURING THE SCORE BAJA 1000 EXPERIENCE B FGoodrich began its relationship with Baja in 1976 when the company wanted to test and prove it had the toughest all-terrain tire in the industry. The BFG All-Terrain T/A revolutionized off-road racing and the off-road market tire category. In total, the tire company earned 86 total overall wins in Baja, and a string of 20 consecutive Baja 1000 overall wins. In those early days, BFGoodrich supported SCORE racers by providing Pit Support for those who didn't have the means or people to have their own support crew. 40-years later, many pit crew members have themselves become winning racers and vehicle builders who continue to push Baja racing to greater heights. In celebration of the company's 40-year involvement with SCORE, and as the sponsor of the SCORE Baja 1000 Experience at the 2016 SEMA Show, the company included the BFGoodrich Tires Pit-Crew Challenge as part of the SCORE desert racing exhibit. SEMA attendees could enter as a two-member team, racing against the clock to conduct a controlled pit stop. The team had to change a BFGoodrich Baja T/A® KR2 race tire, and perform a simulated fuel stop on a SCORE Baja Chenowth Pre-Runner buggy. Each day the team with the fastest time won a set of BFGoodrich Tires. At a future date, one team will be selected at random to win a trip to the 2017 Baja 500 as guests of BFGoodrich Tires. In addition to the BFGoodrich Tires Pit-Crew Challenge, the tire company also had a Virtual Reality experience within the SCORE Baja 1000 Experience.
