Clean the World: ILTA has worked with the Gaylord National to team up with the Clean the World program! Clean the World will recycle all gently used amenities collected from the hotel during your stay. Approximately 60 days after you've checked out, the recycled soap will be in the hands of a child in a developing country, helping save lives by preventing the spread of deadly diseases. Your soap saves lives! About Clean the World: The Orlando, Florida- based Clean the World Foundation is the largest global distributor of recycled hotel soaps and bottled amenities. They have a mission to provide soap where needed to help improve hygiene and sanitation conditions, to lessen the impact of disease and to promote better hygiene and living conditions worldwide. Beneficiaries of Clean the World's global hygiene revolution include children and families suffering from high death rates due to the top two killers of children worldwide — acute respiratory infection (pneumonia) and diarrheal diseases (cholera). Since its founding in 2009, Clean the World has partnered with more than 1,400 hotel properties in North America to provide soaps and bottled amenities to people in need. The organization has distributed more than 8.5 million bars of soap to children and families in the U.S. and more than 45 countries worldwide. Clean the World has also fulfilled a valuable environmental mission by diverting an estimated 1.2 million pounds (600 tons) of hotel waste from polluting landfills worldwide. Recycling at the Gaylord: The Gaylord National is taking mindful steps to minimize their impact on the environment with the GET Green program. During your stay, please place all beverage cans, plastic bottles and newspapers in the recycling bags that they will provide. Thank you for your help!First-Time Exhibitors As you walk through the Exhibit Hall, you'll see that some exhibitors have an easel sign indicating this is their first time exhibiting at ILTA's conference. We're excited to welcome these newcomers, and we encourage you to take a moment to say hello! PEER PODS ILTA conference attendance is all about networking and sharing. At ac2dc, we are providing one more opportunity to continue conversations started in educational sessions or in the hallways. Inside the Exhibit Hall we have some comfortable seating areas where you and up to 10 (or 12, depending on the area) fellow ILTAns can meet. Sign up for one of the Peer Pods at the Member Registration Desk or head straight there and see if one is available. MINI-FOCUS GROUPS Here's your opportunity to be involved in the future direction in technology for legal! One of our goals in ILTA's current strategic plan is to enhance vendor collaboration, enriching the relationships with key vendors and creating opportunities for member involvement in the development and enhancement of products. For more information, visit www.cleantheworld.org. This year at conference we are offering attendees the chance to participate in mini-focus groups (look for Peer Pod 3 in the Exhibit Hall). These mini-focus groups will be 60 minutes in length and will be held during session times. The vendor may ask for feedback about a new product or upcoming release of an existing ac2dc 2012 Program Guide 23
