Welcome Welcome to ILTA's 35th annual educational conference. We are Kathy Lentini and Rachelle Rennagel, your ILTA 2012 conference co-chairs, and we are honored to be part of a large team of volunteers who have put together an amazing lineup of education and knowledge- sharing opportunities. Our theme this year is "ac2dc," a concept that has its roots in electronics and has enough funkiness to spark that special ILTA magic. It means different things to different people, and it's all about alternatives, collaboration and delivery of content. It's about connections and decisiveness; it's about colleagues, curriculum, co-creation, commitment and the power of the collective. The theme informs the development of content and provides a focus for the volunteer committee as they go about the work of delivering the premier educational event in legal technology. Our goal in planning the conference was to deliver sessions that telegraph the collaborative nature of our changing landscape; we wanted to focus on topics of great relevance to the many professional disciplines within the modern law firm or law department. We sought out technologists, attorneys and legal professionals of many stripes to help us deliver an educational program which we believe will excite and educate you in almost everything you experience this week. You can expect four days filled with over 200 sessions. We have over 350 speakers, with 70 percent of those coming from ILTA member ranks, and 30 percent from our vendor partners. Use our session search either on the conference website or via our outstanding mobile app to review session descriptions and add the ones you choose to your personal agenda. Be sure to check out the many sessions provided as our "advanced curriculum" offerings and the alternative learning formats this year — there's truly something for everyone! Law2020®, ILTA's multi-year, multiplatform educational programming initiative focuses on the challenges of the changing legal landscape. Sessions center on the skills, leadership and technologies that will allow firms to harvest real growth from our changing economic environment. You can find the sessions associated with Law2020 using the session search tool under area of focus. Security is on everyone's minds these days, and you'll see topics of great interest around our new security-focused initiative, LegalSEC™. Need help getting started with Twitter? Need to know how to use LinkedIn? Our ILTA social networking clinic can get you going. Have questions about the mobile app? Stop by the Ask ILTA desk for in-person assistance.
