BASKETBALL PREVIEW 2017-18 ■ Braxton Beverly 10 • PG Fr. • Hazard, Ky. • 6-0 • 180 Analysis: Beverly will have to redshirt this season after the NCAA ruled he was a transfer for taking classes at Ohio State in summer school. NC State had appealed the NCAA's decision to treat Beverly as a transfer since OSU had a midsummer coaching change, but it was denied. Beverly is a sharpshooting, pass-first point guard who would have provided depth in the backcourt. Career Highlights: Rated by Rivals.com as a three-star prospect … Played for NC State assistant coach A.W.
