The St. Cloud State University men's hockey team helped raise funds for Making Strides
Against Breast Cancer Central Minnesota during a pink jersey game on Oct. 14 (SCSU beat
University of Alaska Fairbanks, 5-4, in overtime). Players wore pink jerseys which were bid on
in a silent auction during the first two periods. The auction netted more than $7,000 toward
the battle against breast cancer. Coach Bob Motzko was one of the group's Real Men Wear Pink
celebrities and had raised more than $11,000 in addition to the team's in-game contributions.
