The US$3.4 billion integrated resort is the latest addition to the portfolios of MGM China Holdings Limited and the parent company MGM Resorts International. The resort offers 1,390 hotel rooms and suites, 2,870 sqm of meeting space, high-end spa, retail offerings and food and beverage outlets as well as the first international Mansion at MGM for the ultimate luxury experience. MGM COTAI offers entertainment experiences at the Spectacle and a 2,000-seater MGM Theater, Asia's first dynamic theatre with resident shows. IHG hops over to Phu Quoc InterContinental Phu Quoc Long Beach Resort–one of the latest in a wave of luxury tourism properties–will be landing on the shores of Vietnam's largest island. The 459-room property is expected to open its doors in Q2 2018. Corporate guests will be able to pick from the resort's six meeting spaces and enjoy a 24-hour business centre. The resort's grand ballroom can host up to 1,000 in theatre- seating, while its two meeting rooms and boardrooms will be able to accommodate up to 200 to 280 people each. Amara Signature Shanghai opens this winter Set to open in the historical Changshou Road commercial zone, Amara Signature Shanghai will join 100AM Shanghai, a 10,500sqm complex comprising an office tower and a retail mall. Located between the 7th and 30th floors, the 343-key hotel offers 1,100 sqm of meetings and events spaces including a Grand Ballroom and 10 multi-purpose function rooms. Guests who stay on the Amara Club Floors can also enjoy exclusive services and facilities such as access to a club lounge, personalised 24-hour butler services, complimentary use of meeting room facilities, express check-in and check-out services, a pillow menu and free press reader app. The lobby at New World Petaling Jaya A brand New World in Petaling Jaya The 300-key New World Petaling Jaya Hotel has debuted in the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur in January. One of the tallest hotels in Petaling Jaya, the hotel enjoys access to a major highway route and is in close proximity to the Kelana Jaya LRT station. The hotel's events facilities include a 1,700 sqm pillar-free grand ballroom accommodating up to 1,000 guests with its own entrance, and eight meeting rooms - all featuring natural light. Perched on the 30th floor, the hotel also features PJ's Bar & Grill, the largest rooftop bar in Petaling Jaya with a viewing deck overlooking the city's skyline, and a private cigar lounge.
