OCTOBER 2020 USAHOCKEYMAGAZINE.COM // 13 k The United States Hockey League has set its sights on launching the 2020-21 season on Nov. 6 with a 54-game schedule that allows for flexibility for games to be moved due to postponements, capacity restrictions or other factors. All practices and games will take place in accordance with local, state and federal guidelines as well as the league's return to play protocols. "We have created a plan to bring players to our markets and in order to safely begin development and ultimately competition," said USHL President and Commissioner Tom Garrity. "Should conditions change, this plan will allow our league the flexibility to react to new circumstances, and we will adjust accordingly." The league postponed play on March 12 and the board of directors voted six days later to cancel the rest of the season. While there was no Clark Cup champion crowned, the Chicago Steel won the Anderson Cup as regular season champions.
