That's because the theme park has also launched its S$1 million rebranded identity, positioning themselves as the adventure theme park venue in the tourism and leisure scene. "We embarked on a rebranding initiative to realign our product attributes in the tourism and leisure scene towards providing a holistic experience for our guests where they can enjoy variety of shows and rides, seamlessly with a single ticket admission. In conjunction with the unveiling of our new brand identity, we have launched a new 4-D movie, 'Journey 2: The Mysterious Island', featuring an all-star Hollywood cast, including Dwayne Johnson also known as 'The Rock', Vanessa Hudgens and Michael Caine. The 2012 Hollywood blockbuster of the same name was converted into 4-D format for screening exclusively at Sentosa 4D AdventureLand. We will also be introducing seasonal titles periodically to target both tourist and resident visitors. Of course, visitors can also enjoy our existing two attractions – Extreme Log Ride, a 4-D virtual roller coaster ride, and Desperados, a shooting game," said Dato' A. Yogesvaran, managing director and chief executive officer of Sentosa 4D AdventureLand. The theme park is the first theatre in Southeast Asia to offer a complete and four-dimensional movie experience. The pioneer four-dimensional theatre at Imbiah Lookout, Sentosa was built in 2005 at a cost of S$3.5 million and had been awarded the Asian Attractions Award (small attraction category) consecutively from 2007 to 2011. Journey 2: The Mysterious Island is an immersive 4-D movie experience which involves visitors to become part of the adventure through the synchronisation of a 3-D imaging and special effects like wind scent and water sprays. "We will be introducing new seasonal titles periodically, which are aligned to our adventure theme, targeting both the tourist visitor and the resident family. We would like to attract our guest to return for a new adventure each time, at Sentosa 4D AdventureLand," commented Dato' Yogesvaran, on the future direction of the theme park. Sentosa 4D AdventureLand is also home to two other attractions at the Imbiah Lookout. The 4-D motion-simulated Extreme Log Ride allows guests to ride through a mega harvesting plant, ravines and down alleys in a virtual rollercoaster while Desperados gets participants moving through a motion-based saddle seat and canyons, giving their guests a fully engaging experience.
