Business value Solution Opportunity HUNTER WATER IS USING LoRaWAN ® TO IMPROVE WATER PIPE MONITORING "These devices, combined with the use of advanced analytics, will give us greater visibility into how the system is performing. Having that visibility will allow us to more quickly find and respond to breaks if they occur, particularly those in remote locations." Richard Harris, Chief Information & Technology Officer, Hunter Water • Pressure sensors from Ellenex and water flow meters deployed with NNNCo's multi-purpose N-sen device are all connected via a private LoRaWAN® network from NNNCo. • Trial started in June 2019 for one year • Accelerate response time before water leaks and pipe bursts can occur, especially well-adapted in remote locations to ensure a better uptime of the water pipe network. • Hunter Water wanted to monitor water pressure and flow in its water pipes in the area of Lake Macquarie (Australia) to assist in detecting leaks and predicting pipe bursts. • 25km of the Hunter Water's pipes are monitored in a near real- time.
