This document proposes a standard application layer firmware management protocol that 120
allows querying and management of end-device properties for the purpose of installing a 121
new firmware version. Commands allow for: 122
• Querying the version of the firmware running on an end-device. 123
• Querying the hardware version of an end-device. 124
• Rebooting an end-device at a given time. 125
• Querying whether an image is available on the end-device for a firmware upgrade 126
and querying the version. 127
