LoRaWAN ® Multi-Package Access Protocol Specification TS007-1.0.0 ©2022 LoRa Alliance ® Page 5 of 15 The authors reserve the right to change specifications without notice. 2 Introduction 123 124 This specification defines a standard application layer that allows end-devices to be queried 125 about the packages implemented on the end-device and the port field (FPort) on which they 126 are running. 127 128 This specification also defines a way to send several commands belonging to the same 129 package or different packages to an end-device inside a single downlink payload, to limit the 130 number of downlinks required. 131 132 The FUOTA Working Group inside the LoRa Alliance ® is defining several application layer 133 packages serving various purposes. Packages currently defined are LoRaWAN Application 134 Layer Clock Synchronization Specification [TS003], LoRaWAN Fragmented Data Block 135 Transport Specification [TS004], LoRaWAN Remote Multicast Setup Specification [TS005], 136 and LoRaWAN Firmware Management Protocol Specification [TS006]. Additional packages 137 will probably become available in the future. Each of the existing packages will also likely 138 evolve, and new versions will be released. 139
