SOLUTION
Deploying the Renesas SmartServer IoT, global
created a hybrid IoT / BMS solution that integrated
DFS' legacy BMS and infrastructure with edge
computing, cloud enablement, the latest LoRaWAN
wireless sensors.
LoRaWAN sensors monitor a wide array of conditions
at each site. The sensors and other local devices feed
into the Renesas SmartServer IoT where the IoT
Access Protocol (IAP), a common data fabric, abstracts
the datapoints into BACnet datapoints. These
datapoints feed into the BMS which can use the data to
manage the building more efficiently.
The solution integrating BMS with LoRaWAN provided
30% energy & maintenance costs reduction within one
year.
