things I've done, the people I've met
and the places I've seen, all from
playing the absolute best game in the
world," said Cameranesi, who also
won a silver medal in Beijing in 2022.
"I have been fortunate enough to
live out my childhood dream and play the game I love at the highest level,
but I've reached the point in my career where I'm ready to say goodbye."
Cameranesi burst onto the national team stage in 2014, making her
U.S. Women's National Team debut at the Four Nations Cup and ulti-
mately earning mainstay status for the next eight seasons.
"I've been fortunate enough to represent my country for the last eight
years, and I can proudly say I am an Olympic gold and silver medalist.
There is truly no greater feeling than putting on the red, white and blue,
stepping on the ice and hearing the fans chant 'USA,'" she said.
Cameranesi also helped the University of Minnesota to four consecu-
tive NCAA Frozen Four appearances, winning national championships
in 2015 and 2016.
