SCORE JOURNAL 44 FACTORY UTV WARS - CAN-AM THE CHANGE-UP SCORE Pro Stock Champion Kaden Wells Changed Classes, But Is Still On Top BY LARRY SAAVEDRA PHOTOS BY GET SOME PHOTO h alf-way through the 2025 SCORE racing season, Kaden Wells in the No. 2935 Can-Am Maverick R, is currently the points leader in SCORE Pro UTV Forced Induction class. It's a position he's familiar with after winning the SCORE Pro Stock class championship in 2024. While it's too early to predict a final outcome, as there are still two races left in the season, he attributes some of the success to the ability to working directly with Can-Am. He believes this has helped reach his goals in a new class. Although Wells and the Risq Racing Team are not a part of Can-Am's official "factory" team, they are supported by the factory, meaning they share information and parts that helps both Can-Am and Wells in off-road racing. While he's not technically a fully funded contracted factory racer like Can-Am's Phil Blurton Jr., Wells does enjoy some of the same perks. "It's my first year of working directly with Can-Am," said Wells. "They are fully open with me about new parts and other engineering data. They extend all the help they can under my particular program. For example, I was given a new driveline to test recently, as well as a lot of insight into the Maverick R platform. I'm also privy to the prototypes being made."
