SJ: WITH YOUR INVOLVEMENT IN SCORE , HOW HAS THIS PARTICIPATION
WITH TEAMS, PIT-SUPPORT, AND THE RACE SERIES HELPED THE COMPANY
WITH ITS BRAND AND LEARNING MORE ABOUT ITS PRODUCTS?
Matt Hanlon - BFG: Tread patterns, compounds and constructions from racing
are all used as the foundation for BFGoodrich street and UTV tires. Of course, the
demands on street tires are a little different from those of a vehicle that races in
Baja, so the technology is usually adapted to be more suitable for the application.
That said, road tires and race tires aren't completely different. The tires we run in a
lot of SCORE International off-road races in Baja, particularly in the Baja Challenge
class, are the same tires an everyday consumer could buy off the shelf.
Adrian Puente - Toyo: We are constantly evolving to meet the ever-increasing
demands of off-road racing and the vehicles that compete in it. As horsepower,
wheel sizes, and drivetrain technologies advance, our focus remains on delivering
tires that can withstand the toughest terrains. Striking the right balance between
performance and durability is essential—supporting greater power while
maintaining exceptional traction, puncture resistance, and reliability. Through
advancements in rubber compounds, innovative tread designs, and ongoing
product development, Toyo Tires continues to deliver proven performance where it
matters most.
