• Large vehicles and
trailers
• Struck by rescue jet ski
attending rescue scene
• Struck by rescue
paddleboard
• Develop motorized watercraft safety policies specific to rescue use, if
applicable.
Training
• Train workers on pedestrian safety around motor vehicles.
• Train workers operating motor vehicles in the course of employment in safe
operation of motor vehicles.
• Train staff on use of motorized and non-motorized rescue equipment in
rescue-specific context.
Protective Equipment
• Consider providing high visibility uniforms.
• For ATVs and similar vehicles, choose vehicles with roll-over protection such as
a roll bar or cage.
