B efore graduating high school, Brianna May knew she wasn't done competing in clay target sports. So with the support of her dad, Scott, and other high school athletes also looking to shoot trap in college, she got to work. May competed in the New York State High School Clay Target League and graduated in 2024. While beginning classes at SUNY Delhi, she and her teammates started the club formation process through the school's student senate. By fall, it was approved and the SUNY Delhi Clay Target Club kicked off its inaugural season in the USA College Clay Target League last spring. "It really just takes a conversation with someone. If your school doesn't have a team, find an advisor or administrator to see if you can create one," she said. "It seems daunting, but it really is so worth it."
