The Wild are all-in with A WEEK BEFORE Bill Guerin pulled off the Quinn Hughes blockbuster that shocked the hockey world, his assistant GM, Mat Sells, called the Wild's GM while he was in New York scouting potential Team USA Olympians. Sells suggested he call his former Penguins boss, Canucks team president Jim Rutherford, and make an offer for the superstar defenseman. There had been lots of rumors in the days leading up that Hughes, Vancouver's captain, was unhappy and wanted to play with his brothers in New Jersey or near his parents in Detroit.
