I N D U S T R Y L E G E N D Stirling "Hank" Aldrich Stirling (Hank) Aldrich, 94, of Cape Coral, passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2025. His dedication and contribution to our industry will always be remembered. I N L O V I N G M E M O R Y USIndoor's 22 Annual Conference & Tradeshow nd Nashville, TN | June 1, 2022 April 18, 1931 — September 4, 2025 In 1989 I didn't have the money for a used turf so Hank sold me the Cincinnati Reds old turf. Dave Wilcox showed up to install it! The thing arrived slit up like a charcuterie board. Dave and Hank spoke for 30 seconds. Hank replaced it with new turf at his cost which began a 30 year relationship. ~ Pete Spanos, Vetta Sports Hank was one of USIndoor's original members, having a wealth of knowledge, which he gladly, freely and generously gave to anyone who asked. Among his many attributes were his deep intelligence, quick wit, kindness and long-term vision. He had tremendous passion and insight for, and devotion to, our industry, and he led by example, as the longest tenured member of USIndoor's Board of Advisors, an owner and operator of multiple sports facilities (well before then), an industry provider, and a constant presence at USIndoor's annual conference. ~ Don Shapero, President Eremitus I've known Hank since I was 16, and even before I ever met him, I trusted him completely. That says everything. He stood behind his work no matter the cost, replaced what wasn't right, and showed up when we needed him most— even when we couldn't afford it. He wasn't just a supplier— he was a partner, a friend, and truly an industry legend. ~ Gary Archer, Let's Play The others have said it better than I ever could, and those stories and remembrances will last forever! When you look up the definition of LEGEND in the dictionary, you only have to imagine a picture of Hank instead. He was truly a guiding force in our industry, and it was no coincidence that he was an original member of the USIndoor Hall of Fame. He was a fixture at our conventions as a board member, vendor, but most importantly as a trusted friend. His presence has already been missed, and as we say in the Jewish religion, May His Memory Be A Blessing". ~ Mark Grossman, President of USIndoor and Sports Center of Richmond "SCOR" 27
