A couple of other linebackers that vis-
ited in the spring were Joe Giles-Harris,
a 6-2, 210-pounder from Montvale (N.J.)
St. Joseph's, and Riley Nicholson, a 5-11,
230-pounder from Kissimmee (Fla.)
Osceola High. Both are rated as three-star
prospects by Rivals.com.
Nicholson also reports offers from Geor-
gia Tech, Minnesota, Rutgers, South Flor-
ida, Syracuse, Wake Forest and West Vir-
ginia among others, and WVU may have
an edge. He visited there for their spring
game in April.
Giles-Harris, who is rated as the No. 30
outside linebacker in the country and
No. 12 prospect in New Jersey by Rivals,
reports offers from Arizona State, Boston
College, Duke, Illinois, Iowa, Maryland,
Northwestern, Purdue and Rutgers, among
others.
Another linebacker that is likely to give
State a long look is Carson Lydon from
Tarpon Springs (Fla.) East Lake High. Ly-
don has offers from Boston College, Cen-
tral Florida, Iowa State, Rutgers, South
Florida, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest,
among others. The 6-2, 230-pounder is a
North Carolina native.
■ Safety
NC State is expected to take one safety,
and two players have emerged as poten-
tial recruits to fill that spot: Freddie Phil-
lips from Pelion (S.C.) High and Jarius
Morehead from Gibsonville (N.C.) Eastern
Guilford High.
