The 6-4, 280-pounder is regarded as the
No. 45 overall recruit in the 2015 class
and the No. 5 strongside defensive end in
the nation. Alabama, Auburn, Clemson,
Georgia, Michigan, North Carolina, Notre
Dame, Ohio State, South Carolina, Tennes-
see and Virginia Tech are all on Roseboro's
long offer list.
Michael Barnett (6-4, 240 pounds)
from Ridgeville (S.C.) Woodland High is
another four-star defensive end that has
NCSU in his top five. The former Virginia
Tech commitment also ranks offers from
Clemson, Florida, Florida State and Geor-
gia Tech among his favorites.
Rivals.com lists Barnett as the No. 18
strongside defensive end in the class and
No. 6 player in the state.
■ Linebacker
NC State will likely take a couple of
linebackers in the 2015 class.
Nate Atkins, a 6-2, 225-pounder from
Roanoke (Va.) Hidden Valley High, visited
NC State for its spring game, his second
trip to Raleigh during the spring. Atkins'
lone major offer is from the Wolfpack. He
had 111 tackles, 4.5 sacks, one intercep-
tion and a fumble recovery en route to all-
conference honors as a junior.
Johnathan Hawkins (5-11, 215 pounds)
visited NC State during the spring. He
plays both ways for Hoschton (Ga.) Mill
Creek High, but the three-star prospect
