A HEAD-ON SHOT OF THE S&B POLARIS SHOWS HOW THE PARTICLE SEPARATOR IS NEATLY ATTACHED TO THE ROLL BAR TO GATHER AS MUCH AIR AS POSSIBLE. DYNO TESTING SHOWS THAT THE PARTICLE SEPARATOR WON'T RESTRICT AIR INTO THE FACTORY AIR INTAKE SYSTEM AND REMOVES 94 PERCENT OF DUST. IT ALSO ALLOWS THE FILTER TO LAST UP TO 15 TIMES LONGER. vehicle and is completely plug-and-play," says Chen. The first thing that comes to mind when anything placed in front of a UTV's air intake system, is that it can be a restriction. As an air filter and air intake manufacturer for more than 40 years, S&B knows this only too well. So they designed the system to be large enough to gather enough air so that there's absolutely no loss in power when used with the factory air intake system, or S&B's aftermarket air intake system for that matter. "We did dyno testing on a Superflow chassis dyno, and the horsepower and torque curves line up with each other," says Chen. "As you use the Particle Separator, you will maintain horsepower significantly longer because it's keeping the intake clean because the dust is getting shot out from the unit's exhaust." Installing the S&B Particle Separator is also simple. The unit uses two brackets that clamp to the rear of a UTV's roll cage. The brackets are adjustable to align the Particle Separator at the right angle to gather air and 053 SCORE JOURNAL
