a floor announcer. I was the FOX SPORTS social media girl for SX, sprinting up into the stands to interview fans for the live show. Then I had to run back down to do television, announcing the races, interview the riders, and then poof -- five years came and gone! SJ: During your first experiences with SCORE International, what was your initial impression of the people and racers as you got to meet them? Dahlgren: I've had experiences with SCORE since I was little. My dad raised us out at the sand dunes, deserts, and going to races. I had watched the movie Dust To Glory and heard all the big names constantly. It's really a dream come true that I just fell into announcing my favorite action sports of what I was brought up in. It's a small knit community. Everyone is very kind and I'm so grateful for the opportunities. SJ: As a model turned spokesperson, and now a respected broadcast correspondent, was it difficult for people to take you seriously because of your modeling background, and as a young woman? If so how did you overcome it? Dahlgren: I actually didn't struggle with this because I had already had that 'respect' factor from anyone in the industry. I think I really shined and showed my strength as miss SX! SJ: Along with SCORE, you are also a broadcast correspondent at the AMSOIL Arenacross events for FS1. Is this a career path you hope to continue and build on? Dahlgren: Yes this is my first television pit reporting job and I've learned a ton. I hope to continue taking all the opportunities I can get SJ: What do your parents and family think about your success? Did they support you along the way? Dahlgren: Oh my gosh, my entire family are my biggest cheerleaders. They can't believe what I've done and just love watching their favorite hobbies on the television with me as well. It's really a cool thing to share with my family.
