T his year marks the 15th year anniversary of the North American Rink Conference & Expo (NARCE), and so far it looks like it could be one of the best attended ever. NARCE is the United States Ice Rink Association's annual opportunity to bring together our members and others from the world of ice sports to network, learn, and share knowledge with each other. I believe that NARCE is an important mechanism for driving our industry, and the individuals that make it their profession, toward current and future success. What makes NARCE so special is the professional relationships that are created during the event and maintained for years after. We can't wait to get NARCE started and we look forward to seeing you there. As you can imagine, there is a lot of work that goes into a national conference and tradeshow. The work put forth to create a successful event cannot be done by our staff alone. I would like to thank our Board of Directors, past and present, USA Hockey, U.S. Figure Skating and all of our individual, facility, vendor and allied members for their continued support and efforts in making NARCE the premier annual educational conference and trade show for the American ice rink industry. So far, 2017 has been a very exciting year for the United States Ice Rink Association. The initiatives identified in the four- year organizational strategic plan that was created in 2015 and implemented in 2016 are now starting to become reality.
