Ciaran Dunne " " We have a lot of pride in producing freshman sires. That should give a lot of people a great deal of confidence when breeding to them. Sean Tugel " " $155,000 filly at OBS March purchased by Eclipse Thoroughbred Partners both athletically and physically. You can clearly see that he's passing all of his traits on to his offspring." WinStar has built a reputation for producing champion freshman sires throughout the years. The trend started with Distorted Humor in 2002 and was most recently repeated with Overanalyze in 2017. "Anytime you can roll out four horses who are by the elite of the elite stallions—Giant's Causeway, A.P. Indy, Tapit, and More Than Ready—and they all have the race records and female families to back it up, you have to love your chances," said Tugel. "We have a lot of pride in producing freshman sires. That should give a lot of people a great deal of conf idence when breeding to them. "We also take a lot of pride in promoting these horses and making sure every single one of them gets a great chance to make it. It's up to them after that, as we all know, but we are going to give them all the best chance possible."
