14 For sponsors who don't have the capability or resources to activate onsite, we provide alternate ways of engagement. Some examples of offsite sponsor activation include … Contests – Sponsored by a grocery store partner of ours, one of our most popular contests was a holiday-themed competition in which our players wore their soccer jerseys and had their photo taken in a holiday setting, like in front of a decorated tree, fireplace with stockings or a snowman with the sponsor's branded grocery bag. The sponsor selected one winner, who received a $50 store gift card and was featured on our website, social media accounts and in our e-newsletter. The grocery store also shared our posts, providing additional community, branding and marketing awareness. Limited Time Discounts – Event guests, who engaged via social media with another of our sponsors during a limited time span, received a discount for a special "buy one, get one free" promotion, if the guest stopped by the sponsor before close of business that day. This type of promotion works particularly well with restaurant partners with multiple locations. Hosting – If a sponsor can't come to you, go to the sponsor. We've participated in several in-store events for sponsors that couldn't be at our location. For the best activation outcomes communicate, collaborate, adapt and work creatively with your sponsors to provide positive experiences, valuable connections and stronger partnerships. 1 2 3
