from 4:30 PM to 9:00 PM," says Christine, "so the
only time we have open is 9:00 PM onwards."
She is trying to get adult leagues and rentals in those
late nighttime slots, but it hasn't been easy because
of the club's priority. "People still don't really know
about us because we've been so in-house with
everything. If you're part of CFC and if you play premier
soccer, you definitely know about CFC Park, but if
you're the average Joe that lives in
Bethany or New Haven, you probably
don't even know about it."
While CFC Park was built primarily
for the club, it needs the additional programming to
generate revenue and keep the lights on. "I'm trying
to get across to the CFC coaches and families what
we need, in order to survive, is to book some outside
customers. It's really not a completely exclusive facility
just for CFC," says Christine.
