itting in the western suburbs of Richmond, VA,
Tuckahoe Sports Complex has a mission: "to help
youth set a foundation and road map to success
by helping players develop skills, build character,
leadership characteristics, and most importantly,
confidence." That has been its goal since the baseball
and fastpitch softball facility opened in 2009.
"It started with a partnership between Tuckahoe Little
League," says executive director Lesa Williams, who
joined the facility in 2018. "The little league owned
the property, and they actually had the county buy the
property and take over all the maintenance for the
fields that are here, and the facility was born out of
