Equipment: Light- and medium-duty roundup Ram Ram Truck tapped into its resources at Fiat Professional – one of the world's largest producers of commercial vehicles – for its 2014 Ram ProMaster. The Class 2 van is based on the front-wheel-drive Fiat Ducato and is Ram's first shared truck collaboration with Fiat. The Ram ProMaster – which joins the Ram C/V in the company's commercial van lineup – features up to 13 different vehicle configurations and is designed to provide premium fuel efficiency, usability and cargo capacity. The van is expected to list at $26,030 and will be available in the third quarter. The timing of the Ram ProMaster's launch aligned with the announcement of Ram Commercial, a new division of the Ram Truck brand that targets the unique requirements of commercial customers. In addition, Ram last month announced plans to roll out a second Fiat-based commercial van that could be launched by mid-2015. The yetto-be-named cargo van, which will be modeled after the Fiat Doblò, will be the ProMaster's "little sister" vehicle and is the slated replacement for the Ram Tradesman.  Ram says it plans to invest more than $355 million from 2013 to 2015 in the facelift and adaptation of the new van to the U.S. and Canadian markets. The 2014 Dodge Ram ProMaster, based on the front-wheel-drive Fiat Ducato, joins the Ram C/V in the company's commercial van lineup. The Fiat Doblò will serve as the model for Ram's second Fiat-based cargo van – the ProMaster's 'little sister' and the slated replacement for the Ram Tradesman.
