Preparing for the Grandaddy of Off-Road Racing 2022 has been great for the SCORE World Desert Championship. There have included many major items that have helped lay the groundwork for this year’s BFGoodrich Tires 55th SCORE Baja 1000 Presented by 4Wheel Parts. One of the most important is the return to the traditional Malecon and downtown areas of Ensenada and San Felipe, allowing SCORE fans to be a part of the celebration of race events in their cities and outlying viewing areas along the courses. The continued development of the SCORE Livestream program has made huge advances, utilizing upgraded technology, to broadcast images and information on race activities available from across the Baja peninsula, to a global audience that follows SCORE World Desert Championship racing. The initial testing at the SCORE Baja 500 and 400 race events this year, have set the stage for a great live stream program for the SCORE Baja 1000 race week action happening November 15-20th. As an additional announcement, we would like to recognize SCORE moto Legend, Scot Hardin, as the Grand Marshal for this special 55th SCORE Baja 1000 race. Scot will be the first Moto Grand Marshal, fittingly representing the SCORE Moto Category, and who has had a huge impact on the history and growth of SCORE competition. See more about Scot inside this issue. This issue also features a full recap and racer’s comments from the 3rd SCORE Baja 400 Presented by VP Racing Fuels, which was again back downtown in Ensenada with 200+ teams registered to compete. The return of fans again made for an exciting and a very crowded contingency day and race day viewing points. The race had a very tough and technical course with many challenges, making it a difficult race to finish, let alone get on the podium for overall and class finishes. The importance of these finish positions for those racers and teams who competed, is that they determined the starting position for the Granddaddy of all off-road races, the SCORE Baja 1000 this November. If you missed the action of the SCORE Baja 400, you can see it all in greater detail during the upcoming ESPN / World of X Games program scheduled for Nov 6th. Check your local listing for more details on broadcast time. Enjoy the Issue.
