Hands-On Learning | Cycle Count Planning: Now You Know Your ABCs
Step 2:
This step in the wizard allows you to select which plans you
would like to include in the generation of your cycle count
job. If, for instance, you wanted to assign different counters
for your A items, you could create a job just for A and assign
that to specific people to be counted. In our example we
will create a single job that encompasses all three classes.
Verify that all three are checked. Note: A plan will not show
up if it doesn't have a period in which the current date falls.
• Click Next to proceed.
Step 3:
The system will now generate a few counts for each plan
based on its calculations, with details on how many counts
are remaining in this period. You can use the suggested
numbers and/or manually adjust the number of counts you
would like for each plan.
• Click Next to proceed.
Step 4:
Here you can specify a specific range of items to count.
Note that this is done alphabetically.
• Leave the section on Select all items?
• Click Next to proceed.
Step 5:
This will finalize the wizard, giving you a summary of your
selections.
• Click Finish to complete the cycle count job creation.
• The wizard is now complete. Clicking on the View Cycle
Count Job 00000016 link will take you to the Directed
Cycle Count list. This page may be reached from the
menu here:
Main Menu Activities Cycle Count Directed
Cycle Count List.
Any user may now open the cycle count job 00000016 to
begin counting.
