Besides eating great meals made by his mother Donna, Kent and his friends enjoy jumping off the side of the houseboat as they toss a ball back and forth to each other—daring the next one to jump a little bit farther each time. On this water system, long distance cruises are not only a possibility, but a regular adventure on this house- boat. One of Kent's favorite activities is to cruise down to Nashville with his friends, family, customers or industry friends. The future looks promising for Kent as he continues in the path that was set generations before him. HFL owns 27 inland tank barges of different sizes and configurations, but it's arguably his houseboat by Majestic Yachts that he enjoys talking about the most. And it's the people at the Columbia, Ky.- based company that have made the difference. "Jim keeps things running. Mitchell is the guy that can design anything. Bill maps out a plan and keeps things organized and Faye single handily can make or find whatever you can dream up," says Kent. "They also have some very talented guys out in the shop who were great to work with."
