One year ago, in a column for Mod-Stock 2, we gave a little
background on the history of SnoWest's project sleds, and how
we anticipated getting schooled by this most recent project—a
Timbersled-built, Mountain Performance-supercharged Yamaha
Nytro MTX.
Our official plunge into all-out project sleds began about 15
years ago with a turbo and a sled never intended to have one bolt-
ed to it. That 1994 Summit 583 left us with a hunger for power
(and a bloody lip) and that feeling of riding a true custom sled.
We've built race sleds (Y2Kat) and lightweight play sleds
(XLenT). High-horsepower highmarkers (RX-Addixion) and home-
built ridge runners we've put together ourselves (REVelation).
