INSIDE MICHIGAN ATHLETICS does not present an appealing school to schedule at night, featuring an Or- egon State program with a first-year head coach and a UNLV team that is 13-39 over its past four seasons. With a 1984 national championship, 484 ca- reer wins and string of nine consecu- tive seasons with a winning record, BYU might be the most appealing, but the Sept. 26 matchup with the Cougars would not move the needle the way Michigan State would. Former AD David Brandon said U-M would not schedule MSU at night during his tenure, and while Hackett touched on some of the challenges in his radio interview — largely the in- flux of people to Ann Arbor without a ticket, some forecasts of 50,000 that would overwhelm the resources of the police department — he said, weather- wise, the Oct. 17 matchup makes the rivalry game a possibility. "Is there anything off limits? I said no — you have to look at prime time as prime time," Hackett said. "One of the big opportunities is Michigan State. That falls at a time of the year when it's warm enough. I'm going to look at everything is open and then we'll make decisions. "We're about a month away from fi- nalizing [the 2015 game], but there are challenges. There's not going to be an Ohio State game at night because it's too cold for our fans. There's a chal- lenge with Michigan State because the cities are so close together, you end up with a lot of people in both cities that aren't at the game having too much fun." In 2016, Michigan's non-conference slate is again flat, with opponents Ha- waii, Central Florida and Colorado, but Oct. 1 and Oct. 15 dates against Wisconsin and Penn State present an opportunity to schedule a pair of Big Ten foes. GRAHAM GLASGOW VIOLATES PROBATION PER REPORT According to a report in The Detroit News March 16, fifth-year senior offensive lineman Graham Glasgow was cited for "failure to abstain from alcohol" on the morning of March 15, violating terms of his July 14 probation. Glasgow was arrested last spring on a drunk driving charge and pleaded guilty in June to a misdemeanor for operating a vehicle while visibly impaired. In the report, Glasgow admitted at 9:59 a.m. March 15 to alcohol consump- tion. The 6-5, 303-pounder has appeared in 29 games with 24 starts — 15 at guard and nine at center. Originally a walk-on, Glasgow was quickly becoming the favorite to start at center with the departure of Jack Miller, who decided not to return for a fifth year. "We have been made aware of Graham's probation violation and he has been suspended," head coach Jim Harbaugh said in a statement. "Graham will be subject to punishment through the judicial system, the student-athlete alcohol policy and the Michigan football program."
