PUBLISHER'S NOTE Making SCORE History! The Inaugural Bud Light SCORE Baja Sur 500 has just finished and what a race event it turned out to be. A special thanks for all those who were adventurous enough to jump in and compete in this historical Inaugural event. From the pre-race activities with the Monster Energy and Bud Light parties to the driver meeting being held on the actual beach in Cabo San Lucas, to the unbelievable race course and breathtaking scenery around the great city of Lareto at the finish, this initial race definitely set the standard for potential future races in this area. Most importantly, as was stated by all the teams we spoke with during and after the event, was the extraordinary hospitality of the people of Baja Sur. This experience for the teams was extended both in town and especially on the course where they were extremely helpful in assisting numerous teams. Look for all the "behind the scene" race coverage in the next issues as we digest and sort through the huge amount of photography and video that captured this history making race event. In this Issue we talk to one of the many serious contenders from Mexico that will no doubt be battling for a potential Trophy Truck Championship this season. Team RPM's Apdaly Lopez, has shown through-out the 2014 season and now making his presence known in 2015 in the first 2 races, that he can run consistently with the up-front performers. Learn more about this 20 year old's impact on the future of SCORE desert racing. Speaking of learning more about individuals who have contributed to the growth of SCORE and desert racing, The Geiser Brothers have dominated the podium for 15 years with 56 Trophy Trucks now built and competing. Read more of what took this operation from the beginning to now and what it takes to keep this fabricating "family affair" to keep pushing the design envelope. This issue's SCORE 101 class focus will be reviewing the iconic "Baja Bug" Class 5/1600 group. As always, make sure to check out the videos attached to the many editorial stories and those that we integrate from the SCORE web series Conquest, Roost, Legends and Guerrero. Making history, the SCORE Journal continues to set a record setting pace for reader growth with the last issue now delivering over 312,000 readers! Thank you all again for all the support and comments as we continue to promote the teams, products, sponsors, SCORE history and the global fan base that make SCORE International the premier off-road racing organization. As always, enjoy the issue and let us know what you would like to see in the future. Jim 03 SCORE JOURNAL
