Today, it produces five musicals a season, as well as the beloved Christmas Carol each December. The theatre also hosts a number of concerts throughout the year. "I'd say to the people of the North Shore, you are extremely lucky to have this facility here for almost 60 years," Hanney says, adding that while many of the actors in their shows are based locally, a good majority come from New York and have performed on Broad- way, making the quality of NSMT shows on par with Boston's theatre scene.
