INTERACT FEEDBACK ON CCJ Digital Too far to travel " This is complete BS. There is no need for this to be implemented. It is noth- ing more than the government's desire to control America, and who controls transportation controls the country. This means that many drivers will have to travel a very long way for the physical. This will place a large burden on families and drivers. Many will have to drive over 100 miles. How will this affect the cost of the physical now? The medical person can name his or her own price. I see it going to over $150 per exam now. I guess this is Obama's idea of creating jobs. Unfortunately, for every driver that leaves the industry, one less qualified takes his place." -Gordon A Invasion of rights " It also means they can more easily enforce the new sleep apnea testing that puts billions of dollars into the pockets of the registered DOT clin- ics. It's invasion of my right to choose who takes care of my physical and the records, and it's wrong. How much more will physicals cost now due to training? I guess each time I get a safe driving award, I'll raise my rates now." -Joe Truckdriver " Final rule on medical examiners registry announced" Too much government control " I agree that this is just another effort by the government to control us. This is total BS in my opinion as well. Something needs to be done now to eliminate all of the intru- sive regulations our government has been implementing." -Justin APP REVIEWS Fleet One Local Sites What it does: Allows customers to search all Fleet One-accepting sites and their retail fuel prices within their imme- diate proximity. We should sue " If drivers don't get involved and demand these mandates to be not needed or overly burdensome, I hope someone starts a class- action suit that we as an industry can adjoin. It's time to say enough is enough. It doesn't matter your driving record, your DAT or your MVR. It's all a waste of paper because some lobby wants to enrich these sleep experts and DOT clinics, and they're all in the same bed. The lobbies that have pushed this through seek control over our lives and our industry, and I think it's wrong-headed. Instead of working on things to make drivers' lives bet- ter, they create expensive tests and exams and force good drivers out. No to registries and this ridiculous waste of time. After all, isn't a doctor a certified doctor? I wonder which doctor the board uses, and will they all abide by the same rules? Has any member of the board been tested for sleep issues? Bah humbug!" -peaveypro Get connected, stay informed! Join CCJ on any of our social media platforms to network with peers and stay up-to-date on industry news and events!
