ART YOU CAN SIT ON is a composite of 22 public benches created by artists out of a variety of materials and depicting everything from trout to skateboards. These functional displays are placed throughout historic downtown.
THE FUR TRAPPER sculpture can be found at the median intersection of Memorial and B Street. Artist Roy Reynolds has created a beautiful larger-than-life bronze sculpture.
“WHERE THE RED FERN GROWS,” a sculpture by local Artist Marylin Hansen, can be found on the front lawn of the Public Library at 457 Broadway. This life-sized bronze sculpture (pictured here as well as on the cover of this year’s visitor’s guide) is based on the classic children’s book by one-time Idaho Falls resident Wilson Rawls.
TAYLOR’S CROSSING, flanking the east side of the Snake River just south of the intersection of River Parkway and Broadway, includes a full scale replica of the first bridge to carry settlers across the Snake River in Eagle Rock (since renamed Idaho Falls).
