Under a more traditional medium, a celebrity cookbook, Woo Young Hee’s “Easy Cooking,” was published with a two-page nutrition message on potatoes, arranged by the USPB. There were also recipes utilizing frozen wedges in the cookbook. MOVIE THEATERS Movie theater chains are now offering U.S. frozen fries. “We’ve been successful with theaters in Mexico, Malaysia, and we’re working on Thailand,” Weller says. “We actually did a study entirely on movie theaters, and we have a brochure to get movie theaters in Thailand to introduce U.S. fries to their patrons.” RETAIL DELI A Philippine importer and distributor read the newsletter and decided to attend a USPB RTM last year.
