The screens are erected in the parking lot each spring, with the Drive-In season running roughly from Memorial Day through Labor Day each year. Each screen shows a double feature every night totaling six movies per night, seven days a week. "The Drive-In was presented to us years ago," USA Hockey Arena general manager Mike Henry said. "A company came to us when we were Compuware Arena and said 'Hey we have this idea, we'd love to do this with you.' We worked with the township and the community to see if it'd work and that's how it started. "At first it was a rental agreement; they rented the parking lot from us and did all the movie stuff and then as we learned more about it we decided the arena would take over the operation.
