DNA Microinjection Model Generation The Jackson Laboratory has an experienced microinjection core that can make new mouse models by microinjecting plasmid or BAC constructs, with founder mice ready to ship in as little as 13–15 weeks. GETD TS0217 2022.09 ∙ JAX routinely achieves a 90% success rate for transgenic mouse generation. ∙ Specific opportunistic and pathogen-free (SOPF) mice are provided, so no quarantine is needed when receiving mice. ∙ JAX can generate plasmids to create a random transgenic model upon request. ∙ Models are generated in the US allowing for fast shipments and no quarantine.
