"All of the dollars were donated and
given to the building of this addition,"
said Mull. "Nothing came from taxpayer
money, or any sort of local taxes or district,
but all done by donors. Every penny."
To celebrate its donors, areas of the
facility are bearing their names.
"Instead of banners, we named areas
and spaces, so it's really cool, you walk
through the building and you really get
an understanding that, wow, this is a
community building, built by the com-
munity," Mull said.
That's further embodied by the com-
plex's mission statement:
"The Greenheck Turner Community
Center is committed to meeting com-
munity needs by providing opportunities
for all in areas of recreation, wellness,
athletics and social activities."
"We changed our name from
Greenheck Fieldhouse, because with it
being a community building, we wanted
to ref lect that," said Mull. "So, the name
changed, too, to really make it known
that's what it's about." J
