They will each serve 3-year terms in their respective positions: At-Large Member Representative: Jesse Parker – Minneapolis, MN Facility Member Representative: Keith Smith – The Ice Factory of Central Florida – Kissimmee, FL Facility Member Representative: Don Brausen - The Ice Pond at Waunakee – Waunakee, WI CIT Class of 2019: It's time to recertify! All Certified Ice Technicians (CIT) expiring in 2024 must complete a CIT Recertification (CITR) exam by the end of the year to remain current. We offer an online exam option that provides the opportunities for CITs to self-study and write the CITR exam utilizing an online proctor. There are 3 different opportunities between now and the end of the year to recertif y. Those seeking CIT recertification must maintain an an- nual membership (Individual, Facility, or Vendor) with the United States Ice Rink Association to keep their professional certification valid. Available exam dates can be found at usicerinks.com under the Education tab, then Locations/Registration. Made effective in January 2023, any CIT that has allowed their certification to lapse more than five (5) years will no longer be eligible to take the recertification exam and would need to repeat all three courses. U.S. Ice Rink Association Supports MIAMA Fall Conference September 3–6, U.S. Ice Rink Association staff and instructors traveled to Cohasset, MN to participate in the Minnesota Ice Arena Managers Association (MIA MA) annual Fall Confer- ence. U.S. Ice Rinks held a Human Resource Management (HRM) and Ice Making and Painting Technologies (IMPT) course.
