PullUSA: How did you first get into clay target shooting and what do you enjoy most about the sport? Margo Plauche': Ever since I was little I have tagged along with my dad every- where he went and that happened to be a lot of hunting, which got me interested in guns. At my middle school we didn't have a clay target team so as soon as I got to Teurlings I couldn't wait to join the team. I love shooting a shotgun and breaking clays, I find it satisfying. PullUSA: What is the best piece of advice you've received on the line? Plauche': One of the best pieces of advice that has stuck with me is, "The gun is like pointing with your finger, if you point somewhere and close an eye you will be aiming directly at the target." This was actually told to me by my dad at one of my very first practices and it has really helped me along the way. PullUSA: Fun fact about you? Plauche': I want to be a taxidermist and I love taking pictures of God's creation like sunrises and sunsets. PullUSA: What accomplishments are you most proud of ? Plauche': I am most proud of getting the first place JV female trap award and the fact that I have gotten an award for my division every year since I started. I am also very proud that I was able to win a belt buckle at a fundraiser. PullUSA: Anything else you'd like to add? Plauche': I absolutely love shooting skeet and am very sad this is my last year. I'm just so thankful for my team and all my coaches for making my time shooting at Teurlings enjoyable and fun. I just hope that once I leave Teurlings more girls will join shooting sports and be able to kick butt and make a name for the school. Each issue of PullUSA features different high school clay target athletes exhibiting exceptional character and passion for the sport and their communities. ✪ THE LEAD ON T HE L INE 17 2025 L A SHS C T L Sta te Tour nam en t 1s t P lac e Female Jr. Var si t y AG E FU N FAC T S MARGO PLAUCHE' ❚❙❘ SENIOR | TEURLINGS CATHOLIC | CARENCRO, LA ❘❙❚ AT THE LOUISIANA STATE HIGH SCHOOL LEAGUE STATE TOURNAMENT THIS YEAR, MARGO PLAUCHE' took first place in the Female Jr. Varsity division.
