16 PULLUSA MAGAZINE WINTER 2026 THE LEAD R A NGE ROV ER T HE DEER CREEK CONSER- VATION CLUB OF GRANT COUNTY has been part of the Jonesboro, Indiana, community since 1962. The club sits on 150 acres of land that includes wildlife habitat, farmland, and a wide range of shooting facilities. Starting as a small recreational club, Deer Creek has grown into a large, welcoming destination. Here, people of all ages learn about shooting sports, practice valuable skills, and enjoy time outdoors. One person who has seen nearly all of this growth is Rob Burns, who joined the club in 1984 and has been deeply involved ever since. Today, he serves as one of Deer Creek's trap shoot directors and is also an assistant coach for the Mississinewa High School trap team. His dedication makes him one of the strongest voices for the club's mission and values.
