® 6 ® TECHNICAL COMMITTEE UPDATE ADVANCING THE LoRaWAN ® STANDARD THROUGH INNOVATION, PERFORMANCE, AND INTEROPERABILITY For the Technical Committee, 2025 was a very active year, with renewed engagement and ongoing involvement increasing by 25% over last year. A new standardization specialist was brought in to accelerate some of the committee's priority work. Additionally, the committee shifted its approach this year to enable the continuous introduction of new work items, includ- ing the addition of a study phase. This will help the committee strengthen members' commitment and refine the details of the proposed work items, accelerating development and increasing the likelihood of adoption once the work item is approved. These changes allowed the Technical Committee to make several strong updates to the LoRaWAN standard to enhance performance and meet emerging market requirements. An update to LoRa Alliance ® policy regarding academic members is expected to trigger even more direct contributions from some of the world's leading researchers and technologists. Finally, we would like to thank Semtech and Netmore for hosting two face-to-face committee meetings in France and the United States, which enabled highly productive working sessions. Dinners following each session provided networking opportunities for our whole ecosystem in each region, part of the Alliance's effort to increase engagement opportunities for members. Work group and Task Force Activities The increased engagement across the Technical Committee was reflected by a high level of activity across all our work groups (WG) and task forces (TF). 2025 LoRa Alliance ® Annual Report
